
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Nu Gamma Omega Chapter, continues its legacy of advocacy and civic engagement with the upcoming Voter Education Forum, part of its Advocates for Social Justice Initiative – The Pink & Green Powerhouse.
Set for Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the event will be held at the East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library Branch, located at 7711 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806, in the large conference room. A community mixer will kick off the evening from 5:30 to 6:00 PM, followed by the forum from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
This informative session is designed to empower and educate voters across Baton Rouge, emphasizing that every voice and every vote truly matter. Attendees will gain valuable insights into key local initiatives and community resources, including:
- The Thrive East Baton Rouge proposal
- The East Baton Rouge Council on Aging
- The East Baton Rouge Parish Library System
- Mosquito Abatement and Rodent Control efforts
